Why do I need a writing coach?
You're stuck. Stop throwing things at your computer screen and mumbling to yourself. I can help.

How does it work?
First, we’ll have a free, 30-minute consultation. You'll tell me what's going on, and we'll figure out if we're a good match. Next, I'll read what you've got so far. Then we'll be ready for our first session. If you're in New York City, we can meet in person. Otherwise, we'll talk on the phone.

What will we talk about?
Sessions tend to be a mishmash of strategizing, brainstorming, editing, work planning, pep talking, and coffee drinking. I will tell you the truth, but gently.

How much does it cost?
My fee is $60 an hour, and I usually work in ninety-minute sessions. If you need me to read more than 30 pages, we'll also work out a reading fee. For long-term projects and writing retreats, we can figure out a flat rate. I also have a sliding scale for those who need it.

What if it’s an emergency?
If you've got something due in just a few hours and you’re in a total panic, don’t hesitate to email me. As long as my schedule accommodates it (and I'm still awake), I’ll do my best to help you make it to the finish line.
